We have run the full range of the appliance, from a single S-class box to fleets of HA appliances carrying production RAC databases. Several of us hold the Oracle ACE Director distinction. We wrote the book
The Oracle Database Appliance Handbook
Charles Kim, Oracle ACE Director, with fellow ODA experts from Viscosity and Oracle Corporation, wrote the Oracle Database Appliance Handbook to share what years of implementing ODAs taught them. It covers the appliance end to end, from imaging and deployment through patching, virtualization, REST automation, Data Guard, and the new AI database. If you run an ODA, it is the reference to keep on your desk.
